Valens Aqueduct
(tr. Bozdoğan Kemeri-, Gr. Άγωγός του ὔδατος) is an aqueduct in Istanbul, Turkey. In tim es of Constantinople provide water to the city. It was built in 3 75 by order of the Roman Emperor Valens. Aqueduct is located betw een the third and the fourth hill of the Historical Peninsula. The water was imported from the Belgrade Forest to the fountain at Beyazit Square. From there, water was distributed throughout the city. . Aqueduct has a height of 20 m. The Aqueduct was restored in the seventeenth century. The aqueduct is preserved today in the 200 m segment to Beyazit and 600 m at Unkapanı.
